What Is Ultherapy?
Ultherapy by Ulthera is the only FDA-cleared, non-invasive cosmetic procedure that utilizes ultrasound technology to lift and tighten the neck, chin and brow and improve wrinkles on the chest.
Before Ultherapy, there were no good options to treat neck skin laxity without surgery.
Ultherapy is the only non invasive cosmetic procedure which allows us to visualize the exact tissue depth where the energy is delivered, for a truly customizable treatment. Ultherapy penetrates deeper than any other other treatment modalities, including lasers and needle radiofrequency.
Ultherapy harvests the energy of ultrasound waves to heat and contract the tissue and initiate new collagen production. Treatments can be delivered at three different depths, addressing not only the superficial and deep skin layers, but also the fibrous tissue under the skin’s surface called SMAS. This is the same tissue which is mechanically pulled back and stretched during facelift surgery, which makes Ultherapy the closest non invasive method to a face lift.
Ultherapy tightens the skin and the tissue underneath it for a more lifted appearance. As it takes time for the new collagen to form, the improvement is gradual with full results noticed at 6 months after the treatment. Is the only FDA-cleared, non-invasive cosmetic procedure that utilizes ultrasound technology to lift and tighten the neck, chin and brow and improve wrinkles on the chest.
Does it hurt?
There is some discomfort while the treatment’s energy is being delivered, especially to the deeper tissue levels, but this is temporary and tolerable. Perceptions of discomfort vary from patient to patient and Dr. Voica and her staff are experts at prescribing the right medications before the procedure to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
Are there any side effects?
In contrast with other treatment modalities, including lasers, microneedling or needle radiofrequency, there is absolutely no down time with Ultherapy. There may be barely noticeable redness and swelling immediately immediately after the procedure. Most of the clients look lifted and glowing after Ultherapy. A small percentage of patients might develop mild bruising which resolves in 10 days. These side effects are mild and temporary. Patients are able to return to work and normal activities the same day.
How long do results last?
Patients treated with Ultherapy continue to build new collagen up to one year after the treatment, but skin aging never stops and touch up treatments are recommended every two years.
How much does Ultherapy cost?
The price for an Ultherapy session will vary according to the area and extent of treatment. In general Ultherapy cost will range from $ 750-$ 4,000. During the Ultherapy consultation the exact price of your treatment will be determined.
